turbo

where is the best place to get a turbo from, and how much would one cost to get shipped all together... without being put on?

also how good of an idea is it to just get a diesel turbo off a small diesel and put on it... how much of a hastle would it be to get the rest of it complete, because i can get a diesel turbo, just the turbo, for $100 from a friend.

best option is TMAturbo.com

no ya dont need a new hood for a turbo kit, ur thinkin the m112 supercharger kits that require a different hood or modified stock one

the street kit from tmaturbo doesn't look very complicated to put on... i thought the install was supposed to be horrible... or is that just if you dont get a full kit like with the piping and such?

also... wth is up with the price... like 3600 shipped for the turbo... is that the cheapest reliable turbo you can get i mean damn there has to be a better/cheaper way

TMA TURBO is the way to go, its the best product out there! Andys kits are very time consuming to make. No other cheaper way besides building one yourself.

i highly recommend TMA
great stuff
i run it
WLJ runs it
plove runs it lol
J with the 4000lb 10second v6 mustang runs it only 15.4psi!
others making sick power run it

also thats the only kit unless you want a custom expensive kit

but heck. $3070 for a turbo kit is VERY cheap vs other kits for other cars

also to the thread op...didnt you plan on a 350 swap then a 400 swap then rebuilding those
then building a 4.2?
now a self done turbo kit?

its not 3070, its about 3600 after shipping... and i have a friend taking his car to st louis, est 2 hours away, getting everything and it installed for 2500, he has an avenger though...
and im tossed between what im doing, but chris you kinda scared me about building the engine lol.
i also just seen the numbers u were saying in another thread about how like 5psi put ppl at 260rwhp... of course i have a single port so i wouldn't see that much, but that might change.
i talked my dad into letting me and my gf move home, just this last weekend, finished moving sunday. man im going to save so much money, ill be saving roughly 800/mo on bills... soooo yeah.
anyway im thinkin ill turbo prep a little, then turbo and run like 4-5 psi.
theres so many options, hard to decide.

if i do windstar swap first, itll help the end hp of the turbo right?
cuz damn just looked at ur website crt and 275 + ship seems like a pretty decent deal... for the hp right now and also the hp in the end would be even better.

the only thing i'd have to do after that is get my lower intake p&p right? everything else would be there
