Just got my stang.. What mods should i do first. help!

Just got my 04 silver v6 with low clicks and yeah
was wondering what mods i shud get first.
I've been reading this forum a lot even before i got my v6 and seems like ppl are going for exhausts first =/
Dunno if i should go for lowering kits first tho.
my budget is around 1g ish. by the way.
oh and please recommend good online shops plz too

P.S : a friend of mine thinks that he can take on my stang with his 06 is250, auto tranny >.> ROFL
Also trash talking about how all stangs have bad handeling or something, and he test drove a 98 gt before, which was before they had their suspensions changed. >.>

dude...that 06 can take you. The gears are better spaced out. They can keep up or take a 96-98 gt.

i wouldn't doubt a new v6 lexus AT LEAST giving your car a run for its money if not making you look bad.

yeah you would lose but a few mods with that 1g and you got him.

go with exhaust, CAI, UD pulleys, SCT tuner, and you should take him. Get gears and t-loc too. you should be close to a grand there.

O.O i can get all that for 1g?!
thought full exhaust system alone would cost at least half my budget =/
cuz i was thinking of going MAC long tube, some brand h pipe, with either borla or magnaflow.
That seems to be the popular setup for exhaust?
Where can i get all those three for cheap??
Would borla exhaust give me best results hp wise???
Thanks

well you go that route it will be a lot but you can get the setup I have for about 350. borla is way to expensive IMO and I'm not a fan of the sound. Gears and t-loc will probably be over but everything else.

traction lock. it replaces whats in your stock rear end that allows you to get traction with both tires and burn out with both tires. the stock open diff always loses traction on the right rear wheel.

tlock = limited slip differential?

I have a grand to spend on my 06 v6. here's what i'm thinking.

CAI (K&N)
70 mm throttle body
Axle Back Aero Turbine Exhaust (I've heard good things about this)
New chip.

Maybe I won't chip, as that is the only thing that would void my warranty.
All that should give me some good gains, no?

lose the TB
lose the K&N name go with an ebay $25 one...same shit
the chip lose that and get an XCAL2...i'll give a link to the best price

your new list
CAI-$20=+20shipping
Exhaust-$300-$400...if its over $400 i wouldnt get it personally
Xcal2-$350
UD pulleys-$150-$200
lowering springs-$150-$300

or
gear and t-lok-$400, install-$200-$300
then an XCAL2

as for the person who started this thread....to be completely honest you sound like a ricer..
they talk shit about things they dont know...

you might wana stop that..

dont fight about, imnot tryin to be a dick, but thats wat a ricer is..

yes another definetion of a ricer ... talks shit with out the info to back it up

if you want performance... i have heard that replacing things that are worn out might be a good bet... plugs, wires, tires... then maybe under drive and get a xCal2 or live wires... Chad (crazylegs) is a good person to talk to if your looking for some parts

throttle body won't do to much untill later down the road... but hell never hurts to be ready for the future

Also if you want more torque you may want to reconsider getting long tubes. Long tube headers have been known to reduce torque down low but give more hp up high in your top end.
