I'm about to lower my V6....

Hey Everyone,

I am about to lower my '00 V6 with some Eibach Pro-Kit Springs, and some Tokico HP shocks on all 4 corners. Does anyone have any feedback on this combination or of either part? Does anyone reccommend a different combination? Thanks!!

Both great products. Be sure to get Caster Camber plates aswell. They help keep the car in alignment after being lowered.

if you dont have subframe connectors you need to make that your next mod if your wanting handling. that will really make the car handle with those springs.

sounds like a good combination to me and u might be able to get away with not have cc plates since the springs only drop about 1.5 inches

Im not trying to hi-jack your thread or anything, but about how much does all that cost around, including the labor to install?

I got a quote from a Ford dealership here @ $321 for installation which includes alignment.

The parts I pictured above cost me right around $1k.

I would go with bilsteins, they have a lifetime warrenty and handle so good, they are $599 but worth it.

I did it all at the same time. Def. a good idea to do as much as you can at once to avoid taking everything apart numerous times. Without the CC plates you will def. have negative camber even with prokit springs. My car has the appearence of some people that post pics of a supposed 2" drop, I'll try to post pics later I'm at work now... at full throw there are slight rubbing issues, also when the car is loaded with passengers on braking there's some, but I need to adjust my bumpsteer and raise it a little. The handling and ride are greatly improved over stock. FYI I'm on 18" FR500's...

I would do the labor myself..but you also have to think about all the people that DONT have the tools or the place to do such a project. Im sure Im not the only one, currently in college and living in an apartment complex..not exactly the greatest place to do any large projects as suspension.

Its not that bad, all you need is jack stands, jack. and a basic socket and wrench set. But i understand what you are saying. Its not easy doing it in a parcking lot. I just rent a shop when i am not at home.
