does this really do anything?

So I've seen so many threads and posts about octane boosters and fuel treatments and this and that and then I saw this thing on summit racing and was wondering if it was just another one of those "miracle" products or if it actually does anything at all. Its at the link below.

the fitch fuel catalyst actually improves the octane of the fuel, helping to improve milage. Powerblock TV has covered it before. ill find the videos.

from the horsepower TV show they increased there gallon per hour on an LS1 from 23.03 to 20.5 on 89 octane. i don't know about you but i say thats an increase. now at $120 I think its more important to do the math and see if it will last long enough for it to pay its self off.

Conoco

It just so happens that the Conoco Phlips refinery is just about a mile down the road, and when it comes to getting fresh gas, most people around here buys Conoco.

FYI: Gas has now dropped to $1.95 a gallon

even if it did, it would take forever to pay for itself.

well the threads i've read dealt mostly with fuel additives and the like. I've never seen anything about this before. it says it's good for like 250,000 miles i think. it seems like if it works how they say it would pay for itself in the long run.

octane booster is bogus, the fuel catalyst is the same thing they use in refineries to increase the octane it does work but it is so small it isnt worth it
