can't do a burnout anymore

So after the rear end swap I figured I'd be able to leave killer tire marks and a ton of smoke. So I went about the standard brakestand start but this time instead of the wheels spinning, and a ton of smoke like with the stock rear before, the rear just kinda bounces, and hops around or something...kinda like I was on dirt or gravel, but it did kinda tear/shred rubber off the tire. Another thing is the rear I swapped in had drilled and slotted rotors on it. Could that have something to do with it?

Yeah its an 8.8, and I guess good thing I stopped trying after a couple fails. Any tips to avoid the wheel hop?

did you install the quad shocks when you transferred the 8.8" rear? if not you need aftermarket lower control arms to control the wheel hop like hmusn said

maybe the new rear has a different gear in it that wont let you spin quite as good. did the 8.8 have quadshocks on it? most people say they are useless but its actually supposed to help with wheel hop.

is it doing this?

And what are quad shocks...the rear suspension pieces looked like my stock ones...would it be better to find quadshocks, or lower control arms

lower control arms AND shocks would be best but I would do the lower, upper, then shocks in that order.
