whistle in engine bay

for some unknown reason my car will whistle every once in awhile. it always happens between 2500 and 3000 rpms. im thinkin it has something to do with my engine light being on but im not sure.

where is it coming from?
it could be vac leak
or coming from the intake system

i was thinkin vac leak cuz my car keeps throwin an egr code but i replaced the egr and everything

Is it a whistle or like a whine? When mine whined it was because i was pretty low on power steering fluid.

spray some tb cleaner on areas that u think my be leaking...if theres a leak the engine will stumble and change for a second and thas how u know if theres a leak

could be your belt starting to go.

Other than that, check vacuum lines and intake area.

no but you see it a lot on 94-02 exploders and mustangs, noramlly just a constant EGR code that flashes on and off, but sometimes more often in mustangs it will allow air to exit the egr valve backwards causeing a pressure drop and a whistle.

you learn a good bit working for a parts store lol
