What is this Mustang worth?

I am looking at some local ads and found a 2000 v6 mustang with 119,000 miles on it and a nice sound system installed. Looks like it is in pretty good condition. It has a Flowmaster exhaust on it and K&N Intake.

He is thinking about doing a trade with me for my 2000 neon + 1500 dollars. I could probably get about $2000 out of my neon if I am lucky. So is the Mustang worth $3500 considering it is in good condition? What sort of things should I be looking for on it?

I kinda wanted to get a GT but I saw some videos of the V-6 and it seems more than powerful enough for me. Can you break the tires loose pretty easily with a v6 ?

The stang is worth every bit of 4-6 so id say thats a good deal if the car is in good shape.

And as for breaking the tires loose...hope its raining.

Burning out and "breaking lose" can be considered 2 different things. If your driving and drop it into 2nd, don't expect the car to get sideways or anything like that. But burning out...ya, you can...haha.

I just want something that has a bit more power than your standard car. I will possibly be doing some bolt-on engine mods in the future. Does the v-6 benefit much from any mods? If so what ones are best?

See if he will take the neon plus a grand.

gears will get you better acceleration
exhaust and intake will get you a little hp
a tune will help a good amount
and a t-lok will let you spin both of the rear tires

not a bad trade, but get a v8. Compared to that neon the v6 will feel like it has 1000 more hp, but a v8 is a better modding base, go ahead and get what you want

shop around. You might be able to find a decently priced v8 with less miles. The prices have really fallen since the gas hike. There are alot of cars out there for sale, especially v8s.

I bought a V6 2001 a while back, i kept it for about 8 months and decided it wasn't enough and wanted a GT that came up for sale on base. I sold it, actually someone on the forums has it. I got a GT. Have to say that I like having it although now I want one of the newer ones...Def better than a V6 to me, but i'm power hungry, i just can't afford any more than what i've got.

3V 10psi-500rwhp
2v 10psi-400rwhp......

i think that alone will explain your choice between buying a which GT...
