EVO VIII

Ok I have a friend just get an evo VIII he wants to run the 1/8 when the strip opens in April by then I'll be full bolt ons except headers and I will have gears and t-loc. You think I'll be able to take him I am leaning towards no but he is a mediocre driver and has never been to the strip before. I know the EVOs are picky to if they wanna be fast or an econo box. So I was wondering what you guys thought?

well gears and t-loc are going to be a b-day present so I'm pretty sure my dad won't be ok with nitrous.

lol I've raced them before but they were highly modded running low 5s in the 1/8. If i take all my stuff out of the back though I would never catch traction I'm lucky to get it now.

a 50shot will be temporary for someone like you who wants more later

and you'd srry but taking out the rear seats, spare tire and jack and passenger seats might get you .2 off your times full bolt ons without headers you'll be around low to mid 14s gutted.
the evo will do mid to low 13s i believe
you gotta hope hes a bad driver and you gotta do your best
but hell ive seen drivers so bad they lose almost 2 seconds off there 1/4

check this out pretty neat find: and for what i can see pretty acurate:

yeah I noticed it had nozzels up to 100 shot though. This guy ran a 12 in his 1/8 when he had a full bolt on 03 stang that was a stick. So yeah he did go to the track once with me I forgot about that.
