new lights any suggestions?


i live in upstate new york (no snow yay) and the deer are a major problem. i hate driving my car because i dont want to hit one. my friend has a cobalt ss s/c and recently put H.I.Ds and are extremely bright 10000k...not legal but yeah...and i want to something around the same but not spend $400 on hids any suggestions? (also with his hids he doesnt have high beams)

just get some bright ass bulbs
you dont need the lights really

umm the make 60 and 80k models, but if oyu want that bright light HIDS are the best.

yeah the guy with the cobalt has a "hot wire kit" its a little black box that sits in his engine bay. its like a capacitor that makes it able to run the brights lights. he says he got it from a totaled bmw at his work. lucky but they would run around 400 right?

ive never looked, i personally hate those blusish colored lights

i did some more research (thanx to google) and 10000k bulbs just add more color ( ie penetrating rain/fog) u actually want around 5000k (wich the k has nothing to do with brightness actually the color) so 5000k the recommend are meant for distance there not as hot as halogens so i wont melt the housing so 5000k has the farthest light output and gives me high and low beams thanx tho

dude I would suggest to go with the 4300K the other ones are always too blue and u can't see shit. When you hit 10000k the light is purple=can't see crap in front of you.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong
