which 24V are you speaking of? the stock V6 can handle around 400whp with supporting mods and fuel.

on the 3.8, a single turbo kit from TMAturbo.com works perfect. combine that with parts or a built motor from supersixmotorsports.com and you will see 500+whp with supporting mods. stick with the 3.8,4.2,or 4.3 stroker motor

upgrading from a V6 to a GT isnt that huge. if your spending the money, you might as well shoot for a 4V

i've been looking around and have been watching probe and mustang races and i've noticed how often probes get the drop even on a GT, so i was pondering the aspects of a probes 24v 2.5L v6 engine in a mustang. any thoughts?

A 24 valve 2.5L V6 if it is DOHC could well produce more power than a push rod 3.8L V6, though it would have to run at higher RPM. The 3.8L engine is really a very old design and not very efficient. If you could also add variable valve timing you would really have a good thing. Of course that's basically a Honda engine, which perhaps I shouldn't mention here.

3.8l is 1000x stronger than the 24v engine though there is a reason people dont swap it in it is garbage

if you want a probe just buy a probe the turbo ones are cheap, but you will be rebuilding that DOHC motor a lot
