continuation

ok i guess theres a continuation to the problem. Well i put in a new air filter and i felt a difference in the performance, ran better. Well i ordered a CAI and installed it, ran great at first then after a couple starts i got a code. Ran over to autozone and the code was saying i was running to rich. How could this be after installing the CAI? And the code doesnt come back on with original set up.

try installing the cai, then unhooking the battery cable for 15 min. then put it back on then start the car up and let it run for a few minutes see if that does it.

do you have a gauze filter? some times those slightly less expensive ones are loaded up with some much oil that it can get on the sensors on the intake, give those a quick cleaning too if the problem still exists. just use MAF cleaner, it is safe to use on all intake sensors.

alright things seem to be better after that. thanks guys. it idles around 700-750 and is a little shakey on the inside if i rev it up a little bit when the rpms come down you can hear the air filter make a couple loud sucking noises like its dying for air. also on takeoff i got to give it more gas then neccessary to keep it from dying. standard btw any idea on this?
