Acceleration Issues - P0171

So about 6-7 months ago I blew a header and had the engine worked on to get her running again. Ever since I got it back, it's never been the same as it was before.

I had the Check engine light turn on, took it in and it popped code P0171 System Too Lean Bank 1. I've cleaned the MAF, and am still having these acceleration problems. I can peel out just fine, plenty of immediate power, but then right after words, in middle/low RPMs she gets pretty sluggish and them starts roaring again at the higher RPMs. I'm not really sure where to go from here, any advice would be appreciated. She's almost all stock 95 v6 with true dual straight pipes and flowmaster 40's. Any and all help will be appreciated.

Cleaning the MAF got rid of the Check Engine, but I'm still experiencing the acceleration issue.

It should be noted, the only time there is an issue is in first gear. But perhaps that's because it's the only time my RPMs are low? Dropping from 3rd to 2nd to get a boost works exceptionally well, but off the line it's dragging.

well considering its a 95 v6 its not gonna be pullin too hard off the line anyway, but once u get up in ur powerband more u will feel more power

It used to be faster off the line if I remember correctly. I just find it odd that it's got a bit of pep, then bogs down, and then starts ripping again.
