tranny is FUBR....time for a bulletproof rebuild

Due to an unfortunate snowball effect, my torque converter is fucked and my 4R70W tranny needs a rebuild. Luckily i came across this website:

I figure if the tranny needs to be rebuilt, i might as well upgrade internals and make it bulletproof. The website tells you what parts and part numbers you need depending on HP/torque numbers you are aiming to achieve, which is good. I'm also looking at a B&M Hole Shot 2400 torque converter....anything higher i think would non-beneficial. Since the last piece of my car i want to mess around with is the transmission, I talked to a professional and got an estimate of 1900 with labor included and he would perform a j-mod too. Luckily for me, this happened around the time i garage the car for the winter or else i'd be much more furious than i already am.

2400 stall is a waste of money your stock converter stalls there now. 3500-4000 minimum. check out dirty dog transmission .com, Alan does great work & races himself so he'll be able to walk you thru everything you need.
