how much of a difference does a "short throw" shifter do on like a 94 stang. seems like a pretty short throw already.

well an aftermarket shifter will keep you from overthrowing a gear and screwing up your tranny. also some are springloaded to go into gear easier, which is nice. all it will do for you is allow you to shift faster. not as much "shift lag"

Yeah a shift kit makes a difference. B&M makes a good street performance shifter that comes with everything you need for crisper shifts.

chris you should drive one. i think you would end up liking it. when your racing you can hear a big difference in how long it takes to go from 1 gear to another. it might not take off much time. but any time is worth it no?
