timing


what is the stock degree of timing of a 2000 v6 auto mustang, i noticed chris had 18 degrees and stangcharger had 19 degrees, and i have this tuner that allows me to change my timing but i dont know by how much and i was wondering wat ours is stock

18 and 19 can be seen with 93oct and a good tune.

17* timing is what my 91oct tune is set to. i would go very high without knowing what your doing.

it's been so long i cant remember the stock timing.

yea i can set my own octane level with my tuner and tune it myself i just wasnt sure what i can raise it to ....i also have it on 91oct but i dont know what the timing is

you also have to realize you car needs to be put on a dyno. depending on your altitude and air thickness your timing could be set different. and load etc.
plus my setup is different
18degrees was with race fuel where you can advance the timing
stangcharger's motor is built and can handle the timing where a stock motor might not be able to.

oh i wasnt comparing mine to anybody elses.....i was just curious about it.....i dont plan on changing it till i go to a professional and get a dyno
