Car Running rich or lean??

I have no codes on the car right now, but a buddy of mine from work said my car was running either rich or lean because he "claimed" to have seen a little bit of smoke coming out of the exhaust.

It was a cold day.
My rear o2 are turned off.

Also i notice that sometimes when driving down the road, early morning, all of the other cars on the road driving past you cant see the heat from the tailpipe.( like when you open your mouth and breath out in the cold, you can see it) when i look in the rearview mirror i can see mine, not sure if its all the time or not.just want to make sure i dont have a problem on my hands.

probably nothing to worry about , if you have a tuner you might wanna get the air/fuel checked with a wideband just to make sure

how much are widebands? i would like one just cause its comfortable having as much info of real time data with the car. I have a diablo tuner, idk if that could help by telling me the a/f ratio? oh, and my rear o2s are turned off so would the affect the wideband? cant turn them on because right now the cats are gutted.

congratulations, welcome to hot vs. cold

all you are seeing is the hot exhaust... the reason other cars don't do that is cause they are already warmed up all the way where as yours isn't as much.

black smoke-rich
white smoke-either very normal start up conditions or its very cold outside
whtie smoke when its not cold and after a while of driving--your burning water..most likely a head gasket
white/blue smoke-your burning oil. you have an issue, serious blow by(blown ring), failed valve stem seal, cracked piston, or possible blown head gasket as well as possible crack cylinder wall or cylinder head
