Don't know if it matters what engine it's on. When I did it after filling it. I started the engine then turned the wheel all the way left (slowly) then repeat by Turning it all the way to the right. Return wheels to straight & shut off the engine. Let sit a few min the recheck the fluid level & top off as needed. If you have to add more than a little, I would repeat the process.
