2000. Inner window scratches?

Ok so, my car is tinted and the other day i noticed a nice straight scratch about 3 inches from the front of the driver window... It screeches whenever i roll it up/down. I called my tint guy and he said the 2000's have a defect that does stuff like that. So I called ford and they said the only window defects are in the 05 or 07. The guy suggested either cleaning out the rubber part or replace it, but I'm not replacing it, any suggestion.. I cant get my tint redone until i get the window fixed. help?

go exploring, the door panel isnt that hard to take off or put back on.

Yeah I kinda have the same issue. It's not so much a scratch that's any deep in the glass I don't think, but definately more interference on the window than there should be. You can see vertical lines. Lame...

I have it on both front windows in my 03.

i have specs of dirt inside my window tint
the tint has a lifetime warranty but i lost the reciept

just clean out the rubber piece and have that window retinted

best advice. Take the door panel off and just look.

well if you get the scratching problem fixed i have the glass out of a '00 gt i could sell you.
