WTB: Classic Mini
I'm not really sure where this should go, but I'm looking to buy a classic mini. I want either a Mini Cooper or an Austin Mini, in a fixer-upper condition. I've looked on a bunch of different sites but they haven't yielded many good finds and all the minis on eBay are usually restored. If I got it I would probably strip it down and customize most of it anyway, so it wouldn't have to be in great mechanical shape to begin with. I can do some body work, but I usually just do finish work so I would like something that wasn't full of rust. I'm looking for something for less than $2000. I know this may be a longshot but I figured I'd give it a try here on these forums since all the Mini forums I have found kinda suck. Any decent leads will get you some reps, thanks!

I had a 72 leyland for 3 years. it had a rover 1.3i swap. It was one hell of a fucking car man. I'm thinkin about buying another one and doing a vtec swap jus cause it would be a rocket! good luck on finding one. i wish i could remember the mini sites i use to frequent

How about an 09 model?
I have a 2009 Mini with 8700 miles that was involved in a minor front end collision. It has a new hood & grill and A/C condenser but the radiator wasn't damaged. This car is loaded - Leather, heated seats, 6 speed automatic, bluetooth phone, panoramic sunroof, etc. I will sell this car for $15k if you are interested. garwood94@bellsouth.net

15k can also buy 3 quarters of Brand C6 Z06 with 20k miles on it.
