2001 Black Kenne Bell Lightning
For sale is my 2001 Black SVT Lightning. I have owned this truck since day one, bought brand new in 2001. It is in great condition, I am selling because I own a performance retail shop and looking to get a new vehicle to test products and accessories on. Unfortunately I can't keep all the toys.
Let me start by giving an overview of this beast. It has a Kenne Bell 2.6L Supercharger, a built motor with built heads, upgraded suspension, brakes, and a new Ford transmission with a 4 Year 40,000 Warranty and P.I. Torque Converter. Now to the history of the truck and all the mods on it. remember this is not your usual Lightning, it is a built Lightning putting over 500 horsepower to the wheels. So it is important you know all that is done to it! So instead of listing a bunch of mods that you may or may not know what they mean I am going to summarize it so you know. My first mods to the truck was a simple shackle swap to lower the rear 2", a Diablo Chip and 12" Conical Filter. My next mod was a Magnaflow Cat-Back to give it better sound, did absolutely nothing for power. After getting used to that I decided to put a 6lb lower pulley, this upped the boost from 8psi to 14psi. The truck ran real strong, but I could not get it to hook even with drag radials. So I then installed QA1 Adjustable Shocks front and rear. The truck now was making great power and I was able to put it to the ground. I then decided to have the bed sprayed with Rhino Lining. That was one of the best mods I did as it made the rear look much nicer and cleaner. Not to mention it has a lifetime warranty. If I was to keep it I would have it sprayed again, its held up great but I just like to keep things up to date their is isn't anything wrong with it. After leaving the truck alone I was planning to build up my motor and install a Kenne Bell supercharger. Those plans came much sooner (At 57k Miles) as a spark plug blew out the cylinder hear ripping the threads out with it. Please note this was a very common problem with Ford Vehicles such as the all F-150s, Explorers, Expeditions and any 4.6L/5.4L SOHC Modular Motor. I could have had Ford fix it, but I decided to go ahead and build the motor up and fix the cylinder heads. I built the motor with ModMax Forged H-Beam Rods, Diamond Pistons, and all ARP hardware. Basically the motor was built to handle over 800hp, which although were not my goals I wanted to make sure it was stout. Now also keep in mind just because it was built to handle that much power does not mean it would drive or act any differently than a stock motor. The components have just been upgraded to handle more power, they don't wear any less than stock infact they will last longer at the same power level. The next thing I did was port the cylinder heads to increase airflow, I also had the threads heli-coiled so the spark plugs would no longer rip out again. While I was at it I installed Crower Stage 3 Camshafts, and Crower complete valvetrain. I did this since I knew I would be bolting on a Kenne Bell supercharger and because of the sound. I have a youtube clip here of how my truck sounds. ( ) I also did a quick walk around of it. While it was down I also installed a Bassani O/R Y-Pipe and Stainless Steel Cat-Back. I did this because we became Bassani Dealers and I liked their products. Well after I installed the new engine I drove it around for a bit to break it in. I had not install the Kenne Bell Supercharger yet. My next mods were quite simple. I decided to install PowerSlot Slotted Rotors, and Hawk HPS Pads. I did this because my factory brakes were done. I also then installed a deep Transmission Pan to increase the life of my transmission by having more cooling capacity. I then installed a Harley F-150 Gas Cap, Chrome Door Handles, and Seat Levers. I just did this to improve the looks of my interior. While it may not seem like much I think those pieces make the interior look ten times better. Finally at around 63k Miles or so I did the last rounds of modifications. I installed the 2.6L Kenne Bell Supercharger, Eibach Front Lowering Springs and Rear Hangers, Walbro 255LPH Fuel Pumps, Siemens Deka 60lb Injectors, 22" Wheels, and Cervinis Body Components. I did the Kenne Bell supercharger to compliment the built engine. The results are an astounding 550 HP at the motor at only 13-14 psi. I was planing on boosting 19 lbs but never got around to it. In order to support thee Kenne Bell Supercharger I had to install higher flowing fuel pumps and a injectors. The truck was now running flawlessly. At the same time I also wanted to change the looks so I installed Cervinis Smooth Side Steps and a rear rollpan. I also lowered it an extra 1.5" in the front and rear and put 22" Wheels on. Shortly after my stock transmission finally let go. I decided to replace with another stock unit because they come with a warranty and for street driving I think they are the best, I also installed a Precision Industries Torque converter to compliment it. A B&M transcooler went along with it. A custom drive shaft loop was also installed so it would be track legal. I also installed a Ford OEM Tonneau Cover, I was tired of having my bed filled with leaves and what not. Another great mod! For my last round of modifications I sold the 22" Wheels, I honestly got tired of the looks and the ride was also not that great. I put brand new factory wheels and tires on. This was done about 2 months ago. Shortly before that I also installed our PCV Delete Kit. This keeps oil out of the intake track, and I also installed our EGR Delete. So there you have it every modification on the truck and its purpose. I have not been driving the truck much because I knew I was going sell it and did want to rack up the miles. Although on nice weekends I do drive it, like I did this weekend. Again this is a great truck for someone looking for a solid modified Lightning making over 550HP. It has potential to make a lot more power, and run some great track times. I never took it to the track because honestly never got the time after I installed the Kenne Bell. I have out approx. 2500 miles since I put it on. All street driven miles of course. Now as for the interior and exterior goes, the interior is in excellent shape. The seats don't have any marks on them or any stains. The exterior has expected wear from 66k miles. No major scrathces a few here and there but nothing major. The truck has never been in an accident, the only work that has ever been done is the hood came up and broke the front windshield glass. That was fixed, while it was there I also painted the front bumper and a few other body items. Other than that I think I have pretty much listed every thing their to need to know about this beast. If I forgot something I will make sure to add it in. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

If the truck is in the same location as the shop, then south Florida.
