I agree. Call Granatelli and give them a piece of your mind. Do let them take advantage of you. Call them today show them your receipt and tell them it does not matter if you installed it incorrectly. Go to 50 more websites and piss them off even further that way they will be forced to help you. If you're lucky the owner will come here and try to help you only to get spammed by a group of guys that don't read the post before it so they don’t following along and just keep saying the same thing over and over

It is about time someone takes advantage of these companies and tries to get something they are not entitled to. Remember have the receipt ready so you can really make them look bad and hide the spare part from the box or better yet claim they were never there

Good luck and to see this happen

GMS told the customer we would be happy to service him but we simply needed to see the receipt – he can’t or won’t produce it

Yep I tried top adjust it after it was bent to get the car up off my tire, so I could make the trip home. All GMS want's to do is blame summit. I guess really it is Summits fault.....for selling GMS's trash product! Summit has offered to give me another set......I have no se for that all I want is my tires replaced. Their product's have been known to fail for a while..
Notice how nobody chimes in to support them or their garbage!

Summit is 100% backing them, but I have no need to put myself in danger with their product.
I have used MANY GMS parts on my car and customer cars and have great success.. His MAF are the most repeatable on the market and are the only ones i use for mail order tunes.. JR is also a standup guy who will do whatever it takes to make it right.

question for you gms. do you not keep information like this on file if the customer registers on your website. i know i can go to other places i've purchased parts from and my order from a year ago is still there when i log on. also do you email the confirmation of the order w/ a receipt attatchment. again every other online place i've ever delt with does this. i don't know that you don't it's really a question.

How do you know this is the case? Obviously (pics), that shit is wrinkled up pretty ugly. That just seems cheap to me. Why would you automatically claim that it was installed wrong or make an asumption that he left parts off. Sounds like your crawfishing. I understand you may want to find out if it was done right but you should do just that instead of your 1st answer being "nope, not our fault. you did it wrong" like a child. Obviously he is willing to show pics or whatever you guys may need. I hope yall can recognize your own part (although it is twisted up pretty bad).

I usually stay out of the gms stuff ( even though I have seen plenty of failures personally, I just dont buy their junk) but I ocasionally feel the need to speak up & this control arm thing is a perfect example. if you go on their web site & look at their control arms the biggest thing that stands out is they advertise all their arms as 79-04, as a lot of you know ( pretty much any one who's put lowers on both a fox/sn95 & new edge) new edge cars use a much larger lca bolt than fox/sn95 & imo any manufactuer that doesn't advertise them seperate is less than reputable. how many people do you know who bought generic lca's only to find out the bolts wouln't work & they either have to put smaller bolts in (very bad idea) or return them & start over. just one more failure of less than reputable copy cat company, again imo.

i find it funny mr. gms rep that we don't ever have to see any other manufacturer hunting the web to try to back up their product. maybe because the good products don't have the issues and when they do people get their issues taken care of.

of course now we'll get some bs for a response.
What Bs from POS..opps I meant GMS, no Never

No that's not what was said, and i now see why people told me to record the conversation with the crawfish reps. I DO NOT want anything to do with your products, just want you to know what EVERYONE else on the internet knows. Go to the link on the bottom of the page, and tell me those aren't your LCA's. Who would want to copy your copies?!?

dang... after all that, i kinda feel bad for the guy. I read in the other post that this thread's OP did in fact have it installed wrong. If thats the case then the OP is responsible not the company. Granatelli bro, that has to suck about all the bad publicity. But hell look at britney spears... when she was fat and bald she was REAL famous, now she is skinny and getting her shit str8 (i think), we hear nothing about her anymore. So bad publicity is better than none. Im sure you are doing ok tho... i read where 8.2 million reasons was why you didnt own paxton anymore. Id say thats doing ok.

[QUOTE=BakerFX4;1832250] So bad publicity is better than none.

till some poor guy that doesn't know better buys some of their garbage & gets himself killed when the part breaks. I realize most guy's online like to talk about racing but don't go to the track that much & thats cool but if you regularly (as in every weekend) go to the track & see some of the carnage thats caused by sub-standard but well marketed junk you will see why theres very few companies that are acually well represented & accepted by regular racers (I can think of at least 1 upr sponsored car that doesnt have not one of their parts on it, for example)

you think he copies a part and sells it as his??? how ignorant are you??? if you werent so damn lazy and did some damn research, you find out what other brands are actual gms parts. gms makes the parts, paints them a different coler, and puts a different sticker on. you think the 7-8 other companies that sell gms control arms with a different sticker make a difference? how about the plenum that is "too cheap" on their website, but others buy it from another company that advertises it as another brand without complaints. the only other difference i see from the other company that uses gms as the maker is what kind of bushing is put it, what color it is, and how its advertised.

If you look below the picture of the control arms in the link that TexasMade posted, it clearly says actual item may differ from image. Just sayin....

Meh, I have a set of GMS adjustable upper and lower control arms I purchased from summit a while back. They don't at all look like what was in the picture from the OP, the LCAs look pretty solid. The uppers don't look as if they are of the same quality as the lowers, but I have no complaints on them. Sure they could use better rod ends, but for the price, its not bad. Looking at the LCAs, I can't ever see them failing on me like that without the car getting pretty damn fucked up in the first place.
