agree'd. i have delt with a lot of stuff (especially my car) that goes wrong with parts, i personally and others i know that run their parts have never had quality issues. every manufatucre (in my book) will have something go wrong with a product and that is totally ok, but i hate hearing how its always a specific manufacture (in this case gms). i know most the other companies that use gms as the scource for parts, but those companies have good stuff since the gms name is not on it.

i never have had any issue out of their service. me and jr have talked over the phone (after hours), he got my info and took care of all issues. he took enough time out of his evening to deal with me when he didnt have to. i greatly appreciate that, and is another reason i run their products.

That is quite contrary to my experience, including 2 or 3 phone calls--he accused me of being a disgruntled suitor and all I wanted to do (with over 35 years of instrument systems programming under my belt) was help them make the Fuego do what he claimed it could do...

It was the PC software I offered to help you with. And you need to get over your paranoia--I am NOT "stalking you", never have.

I have simply stated the fact is that the Fuego did not do, and apparently from postings I've seen on the web still does not do, what it was claimed to do--I.e. it does not data log, and there are no "tunes available over the internet" or PC software to load them anyway. This is politely called false advertising, and more correctly called lying.

We last spoke in March of 2007. It is now nearly 2 years later and these claims continue to be made on both on your website and in your silly videos--if this is false and the Fuego does do all that it is claimed to please do so than please let me know as I'd like to dig it out of the closet, upgrade it, and try to recoup some of the money I lost on it...

This is all the same principle as watching the news. How often is the news negative things? vs positive? For some reason the few negatives gets all the publicity and the more positives go unnoticed. I know many, many people that have used Granatelli parts, (myself included, I have their K-member, a-arms, and upper control arms, and have used them for 3 years as a DD and on the track), and no one has had any issues. Now if someones personal experience was bad I'm not saying that they are wrong for being pissed. All i'm saying is that the only reason people speak up is because something is wrong, take into consideration the many more that have used the parts and haven't posted good praises about them.

Well...You call it Paranoia I call it stalking.

Stalking is a contemptive term applied to the behavior of individuals (cliffyk) towards others who could otherwise be classified as being obsessed. It has been applied to the obsessive following, observing, or contacting of another person, or the obsessive attempt to engage in any of these activities. This includes following the person to certain places (like the forums), it also includes seeking and obtaining the person's personal information in order to contact him or her; (which you did and when I said thanks but no thanks) You then created multiple posts expressing your feelings about GMS not accepting your offer

This thread is about a customer that had a problem with a part that GMS discontinued 4 years ago. He claims to have purchased it through Summit Racing. We asked for a receipt and he went ballistic. In an effort to help the customer and going beyond the call of duty, I personally called Summit Racing to see if I could help in finding a proof of purchase or should I say proof of sale. Summit said (and I quote) “We took this off the system April 2005 and have no record of any sales on this part dating back to November 13th 2004."

Like we said, honesty needs to be the best policy here. While I do not want the negative press, GMS can not be badgered into or publicly ridiculed into helping a customer that lies and is not forthright up front. Had he called and said - “look, it is clear that the bottom on my car has thousands of miles worth of rust and the arms look like they are brand new so it would seem obvious I just installed them and now they are bent WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR ME?” We would have replaced them. That is not what happened. TEXASMADE called GMS and said he just purchased the parts and had a failure. When we told him we had not sold that part in some time he then changed his story and said, well I may have purchased them a while back but I just got around to installing them. So we asked how far is “a while back”? and do you have a receipt from when you purchased – the rest was all down hill so I stepped in and called Summit Racing.

The deeper we dug the more the story did not hold water – Then he went on an email blast. So he accomplished what he wanted to.

GMS must tow the line - While we had no obligation, I felt morally that we knew these parts would in fact have trouble if the plates were removed and that is why:

1. We stopped selling them that way
2. We recalled those 4 years ago
3. We did the due diligence to try and see if the customer in fact recently purchased them

He lied and I can only surmise that he was embarrassed about getting caught so he pointed the figure in our direction.

This makes a LOT more sense now. When I asked about the support plates mentioned in Granatelli's post, the OP completely avoided the issue and went back to rant mode I think it unfortunate the manor in which people communicate such issues as this. It should have been kept "in-house" and would likely have reached a mutal agreement with Granatelli and likely to have gotten a nice deal on new LCA's to boot!
