Never ordering from Steeda again!!

so i found out i need my tranny sooner...steeda said they can get the kits in on the 15th of this month...but some complications came and i need them sooner. So i called D&D performance and they have them in stock and can ship out today. So i call steeda to cancel my order and i would figure since its 4K$$ they would try to make it work for me to go with them and they didn't care infact they were rude to the point i said im never dealing with yall again...

It is a shame. It only takes one moron to ruin an experience with a whole company. I would get their name and write and email or make a phone call. Who knows, you may even get a discount or some other compensation.

There never is an excuse to be rude to customers, but let me play devil's advocate here. When you talked to them and purchased your kit, you entered into a business agreement which included a certain delivery schedule. Being a high ticket item (4K$) they probably had to order it themselves. Now that it is not convenient for you to stick to the delivery schedule you want to back out of the agreement. As a business owner I might be a little upset. Probably shelled out some $ to order what you wanted and now is going to have a high ticket item on the shelf and might not move it for a while; impeding cash flow. In today's economy we are watching these things trying to keep our businesses viable. Again, this is no excuse to be rude, it's probably why though.

It doesn't matter if it's impeding cash flow. What's worse to a business owner in THIS ECONOMY. Having a high dollar part sitting in the warehouse (where it can be sold later) or having an upset customer go and tell everyone he know how crappy the company is. This could lead to the loss of MANY other high dollar items in the future.

With the economy the way it is right now, there's more reason than ever to be extra nice and try to win over customers. When it's a buyers market, you don't want any excuse for people to go elsewhere.

Ok, so you called back and found it somewhere else, Steeda still didnt have it like they originally told you and you expected them to do what? Make it work and ship you the part? How were they supposed to do that if they told you up front they didnt have it? I would imagine they would have made it work immediately and closed the sale if they actually had it. They were honest up front and told you it was backordered.

Judging by your train of thought on how things should have gone for this entire post, I find this statement highly suspect......

Gotta love senseless bashing of companies.

It sounds like someone at Steeda is pissed because they won't be getting a commision on that 4K and they are taking out their disappointment on you. It happens in business all the time, that why a company takes a deposit on special order items.

I guess the bottom line here is that we are all going by "he said she said". If he does or doesn't work for Steeda he has a valid point.

They didn't have the Tranny in stock. So you bought it elsewhere. Big Deal!! I would've done the same Dayum thing if my car was down.

Just watch what you wish for cuz one day you might be in a jam again and needing something From Steeda and this post might haunt you!!!!

"Swallowing your pride is not easy to do"

We've all been there once or twice!!!

well at least you got to call and cancel your order before you recieved your product. with my 01 gt i ordered a bolt in 4pt roll cage for my car from steeda. when it came an i went to put it in the bending was completely off; it wasnt even like off a centimeter, it was off like 5 inches on both sides, i had to spend even more money to take it somewhere to get it heated up an rebent then test fitted, etc to make sure it would fit correctly, then pay to get it repainted. i was thinking steeda was an awesome company and high name in mustang aftermarket parts but i was very disappointed in them.

on a side note another company to stay away from is patriot. i ordered patriot valve springs w titanium retainers to go with my stg 2 cams. well i had a very well known performance shop that builds dragsters for nhra sometimes etc put my cams and everything in and torque everything to the specs given. well about 2 months after (this is around winter time here in pa) i go out to the garage for my usual start up every couple weeks since it just sits in my garage, well all of a sudden i hear a rattling like a snake, i didnt rev it up or anything and when i drove it home i didnt even jump on it once. had to get it flatbedded back to the shop to find a defective valve spring snapped right in half, the titanium retainer melted, a valve dropped, an 2 pistons fried from this valve spring. i called for hours to get in touch with someone high in patriot and i get to the vice president and his name is gunner, talked to him and told him the situation and he was completely rude, one time even hanging up on me and telling me to go F--k myself, he was unreal and ridiculous, he kept saying not our fault not our fault, and you know what he did? even when we sent a sepena to appear in court. he sent 250 dollars for a new set of valve springs........ sorry for my rant but people should know about bad companies and horrible customer service in the aftermarket industry

he needed to cancel so he canceled, there was no need for the steeda employee to be rude, 15+ days is a long time for a part even if you have to order it. steeda is in the wron and ive heard thousands of bad CS stories from them id ever order from them
