Pershing Auto Body Parts

I found these guys on ebay selling 03/04 Cobra front bumpers for $220 shipped. Sounded like a good deal and I had the extra money so I went ahead and ordered one. About 2 weeks went by and I hadn't heard a word from them about it shipping so I emailed them. They said it would be going out in 2 or 3 days. Fair enough but after another week I had no shipping confirmation so I emailed them again. They said they had pulled the bumper from their warehouse to ship it and found it had been damaged. A new one would be arriving in 2 days and they would ship it out asap.

Another week goes by and it's now been a month and I still hadn't gotten any shipping confirmation so I sent them another email. They said the truck had been delayed. It was coming in that day and would ship out the next.

A few days go by and no shipping confirmation so I emailed them yet again. Another "the truck was delayed" excuse and it would be shipping out in a few days. After a total of 5 and a half weeks I was getting annoyed so I sent them another email. Yet another excuse so I asked for a refund and got a response telling me to call them. At the time I was working odd hours all the time and just didn't have the time to call and deal with what I expected to be more excuses so I told them to just give me a refund. They gave me their number again. So a few days later I filed a dispute with Paypal. They were quick to respond to that and really wanted to talk to me. I'd just gotten off work and had things to do but I gave up and just gave them my number. They called me right away and it was the manager that wanted to talk to me.

He was apologetic about it and said he really wanted to get me this bumper. He even offered to refund the shipping charge so I just agreed and left it at that. He said it would ship in a few days as the truck should be showing up the next day.

About another week later I emailed them to ask if it had shipped. ANOTHER EXCUSE. Same as before. I emailed them the day after they said it would ship and it still hadn't shipped. They gave me another excuse and I figured I would be sending them another email within a week asking about shipping.

After 7 and a half weeks I finally got shipping confirmation. 1 day before it would have been 2 months, the bumper finally shows up.

Even worse, not too long before it finally shipped I landed a new job that is giving me more hours and pays better than my old job. I'm making enough to upgrade to a 4v V8 and decided it's time to lose the V6 and get something with some real power. So now I've got a bumper that may or may not be totally worthless (depending on if I get an 03/04 Cobra or an 01 Cobra/03-04 Mach 1).

I really think if I hadn't kept getting on them about shipping they would have completely forgotten about it. How does a truck get delayed over a month? And they can't say they had orders ahead of mine to fill. They had one they were ready to ship until they found it damaged.

Needless to say I probably won't be buying from them again. The bumper looks nice but I could have picked one up elsewhere for a little more and probably had it at my door over a month ago.

Hi Mcqueen, wow sounds like you got the runaround for sure. I too saw this company on ebay, and I'm only a couple hours away from there so I called them to see if they give price breaks if a customer was to pick up the item from their shop and they said no. That makes no sense to me since their auction advertises free shipping for a hood, you'd think they would give me a break if I pick it up since they wouldn't have to crate it or pay freight.

So how was the quality of that bumper? It's hard to tell if fitment is any good until you actuall install it, so did you ever install it, and if so how does it fit?
