$799 SALE price of hot rod cams on AM?

I hate bashing on AM because i do love them.

but they claim the hot rod cams as a february sale item at $799

They claim $949 market price? claiming a 16% savings of $150. has anyone ever seen these for that price? the most expensive place i found these for was $845

If you run a sale shouldnt you want to compete with other prices?

Late Model Restoration has these same cams for $734 OR $769 WITH a tune?

$15 shipping STILL makes them cheaper than AM

Come on American Muscle, i WANT to give you my business, but you leave me little choice.

Anyone notice how much these cams have gone up lately. They use to sel for 730 ish all day long, not anymore.

Blue devil- I think brenspeed is about that same price.

Slater- +1 on that, I noticed it the other day too. I use AM as much as I can, but it's not always the best route. I highly doubt I will buy my cams from them (if I ever get them done, I've been trying for going on 6 months now and shit keeps getting in the way), but I still use them for other products. The FRPP cams are way overpriced for what you get anyway. But then again, talk to chris he may help you out.

True-Brenspeed is within about $50.
And just for the record, I buy from American Muscle and they have great service and reasonable prices.

i buy from AM all the time too. im not dogging there customer service. an yeah, SOME things prices are reasonable.

but these when your sale price is still more expensive than another sites regular price? come on now

PM a mod and ask that this be moved to the AM sub forum,

I bought my wheels from them in the summer and they worked with me on a discount to help with shipping to canada as that was like the price of 1.5 wheels.

There is not another place that would do that for me. I have bought many things from AM and have had nothing but amazing service.

that's where i got my cams. i had trouble finding the springs at autopartsdealer.com though. brenspeed has everything else that autopartsdealer.com doesn't have.

don't forget phaser bolts and valve spring compressor.

i absolutel agree about the customer support. it is awesome. i have spent alot of money there. and i live within there next day service area. so anything i order i get within 24 hours. BUT, if im not in a hurry, like i wasnt for the cams because im still deployed, i saved $100. that is alot considering there cams were on "sale"

slater- what made you decide on the hot rods instead of say the detroit rockers? If I go NSR I'll probably do those. I really wanted to go with the 127500's but with all of the supporting mods (springs, phasers, bolts, lube, tools) and what I would need to upgrade the fuel system, it would be hard to make it (have enough $$) by the time I want them in (this spring for cruisin' weekend in OC, MD). I still need new wheels and tires, and $$ for my gear install- the gears are the one thing I won't to do myself, I don't want to mess with my diff

Sale can be tricky. I bought a Craftsman screw driver set from sears for like $17. A week later I get a email and the screw driver set is on sale...for $20!!! They just the "original" price up and said it was discounted.
