I'm going to have to back up vi3t on this one. I see no shame in running a Cobra R hood.

...and I am from the complete opposite school of thought. My car looks like someone yanked it from the junkyard, but is gunning for high 10's. Despite that I'm all for show and no go. To each his own.

After all, then wouldn't putting an 03 Cobra bumper on your 6er be pretending?

yes, it is. I don't see the point in it. However one could say the same for me and having scoops on my car because they didn't come factory. I just feel like the cobra dress up is exactly that, dress up. Wasted money to be first mods, and people like myself laughing at your stock six with cobra body parts and badges. Maybe its just me.

Not my car, so do what you like with your own money, from my experiences it'll turn into regret and wasted income. If the car made 400rwhp and you want it to look a certain way, okay, because you beat stock cobras and laugh at them. But the other way round I don't know, I always assume that money runs to short and the mods list doesn't get completed (my own situation) so money spent on a hood that brings zero performance or functionality is a waste.

Who says it's my first mods? What does it matter what order people do their mods in? And the whole point of the thread was to ask about ABC Exclusive hoods, not hear whether or not I needed a hood or why I was getting a hood or how I spend my money on MY car. My first goals are appearance. I am not a speed demon and am not trying to make my car as fast as possible or I would have started with a v8 and wouldn't even be having this discussion with you in the 6'r section.

honestly, make your car look however you want. I have a considerable amount of money into the look of my car...although the cobra front came from my encounter with a telephone pole. lol.
At the same time, I also have a considerable amount into making my car faster.

Still seeing nothing wrong with the looks aspect. If someone takes a V6 and makes it look like a GT and puts GT badges on it, do you think I give a flying fuck?

I'm all for it, especially considering the fact he's using OEM style parts. At least he's not running around with some ridiculous JDM/Invader body kit.

Personally my suggestion would be some chrome rims (of your choosing) black headlight housings, and OEM style spoiler of your choice. Personally I like the S-281.

I still have my stock spoiler, I take it on and off to change things up now and then.

it doesnt bother me if they do it either, but i do think it is dumb as hell if they are trying to make people think it is something it's not. im all for making the car look better but never misbadge it. i have different parts on my car but dont have any badges.

I probably would've never done the Cobra front if it hadn't been for the wreck. I just didn't want to spend the money. Do I tell people I drive a Cobra? No.

Body panels are just that, body panels.

I do agree though that a giant cowl without a blower underneath requiring it is kinda lame. But a small one, there is nothing wrong with.
