Speed Concepts

Okay everybody, before I have people jumping up my ass for flaming a vendor, let me start this off by saying that I'm not going to say these guys are terrible. I'm just going to share the experience I'm having.
I checked these guys out and saw that they had a great price on a set of Mac ceramic L/T's. $389 + shipping. so i went ahead and ordered them on the 24th of May. As of the 25th, my order was "processing". A week later, I still hadn't heard a word from them. I thought maybe they were backordered, but I figured a good business practice would be to tell the customer that their item is backordered. I tried calling them to check on the status of the order and find out what was taking so long, and I couldn't get through to them. All I got was voicemail. I tried calling several times to no avail, at which point I decided to send them a Nasty-Gram. I basically told them how fucked up I thought the situation was and to cancel my order. This was on Friday. Today is Monday and I still haven't heard from them. I checked the website to see the status of my order, and lo and behold, it shipped magically. I sent another Nasty-Gram, because if I return this order, they'll charge me a 20% restocking fee. That's like $20. Fuck that. I told them to contact the carrier and tell them not to ship it, cause I'm sure as shit not signing for it. I don't want anything from them except a full refund. It's frustrating because no one answers the damn phone or checks the email, apparently. So while their prices are pretty damn competitive, it seems that their customer service sucks donkey dick. I don't mind paying a little more and being treated like a customer whose business is valued, and I'm not getting that from these guys. Just keep this story in mind if any of you decide to do business with speedconcepts.net.

well, i just got an email and apparently their email system has convieniently been down since friday. they apologized for the problem and stated that everything would be taken care of. they called ups and told them to return the package to sender or just refuse to sign for it. so, happy ending? yes, but still pretty aggravating. oh, and the headers i ordered from American Muscle will be here today around 5pm.

OK I'm confused. I realize it took you a while to get the item and the customer service might not be up to par, but after it shipped you told them to take it back? That's just dumb in my opinion. It was already on the way and I can tell you right now what the delay was because I had my own internet store for 2 years. They use a drop shipper and when you place an order with them, they place the order with the drop shipper. The drop shipper then places the order with the supplying warehouse who then has to find your item and process the order. At that point they inform the drop shipper of the status of the order (shipped, backordered...) and the drop shipper passes that info on to you. The drop shipper I used was http://www.doba.com/ and I can assure you none of those things happen over night no matter how quickly the person you bought the item from places the order with the drop shipper. Those companies are dealing with hundreds of thousands of orders on a regular basis. They also deal with dozens of suppliers. It is very frustrating when you have a customer asking you a question that you are also asking the drop shipper and you have nothing to tell them. As for the 20% return fee, that isn't them it's mandatory depending on what supplier is shipping the product.

Did you read what I said. They have no control over that. Once the supplier has the order it can't be canceled only returned with a restocking fee.

i didn't tell them to cancel the order after they shipped. i cancelled the order and then 3 days later they shipped my headers. okay, great, they have no control over how their business operates. terrific. that's not what the fucking point was. the fucking point of the entire thread was to tell people about the CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES! NOT THEIR SHIPPING PRACTICES! i don't know, maybe dealing with AM spoiled me and i expect a vendor to actually tell me what the fuck is going on with my order without me, the customer, having to jump through my ass to find out. i could give a fuck less about issues with the shipper, just tell me. i just want to know what's going on with my order. what i don't want is for a vendor to keep me in the dark when they have my fucking money and i don't know what's going on with my order. it could've taken a month for me to get my headers, i don't give a shit. the point was that they pissed me off by not telling me what the fuck was going on. like i said before, it's bad business. have i clarified the point enough now?

Stop whining like a little bitch. Did I curse at you? I was trying to give you an insite as to how internet businesses work, but apparently your too stupid and too much of a prick to understand. I don't give a fuck if you ever order there again. I posted here to give the other people that are obviously more intellegent than you an educated opinion on what the seller went through and why they did not respond. As far as I'm concerned you can kiss my ass. You can rant on your own now.

who's whining? you're the one who's all butthurt because i didn't like this company. is it your company and you're all pissed about losing business? no, so quit making a big fucking deal over the whole shipping thing. for like the fifth fucking time, THE SHIPPING WAS NOT THE PROBLEM, IT WAS THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION. i get spun up when i have to repeat myself. you got hung up on the whole shipping thing when that wasn't the problem i had. i clearly stated that it was the lack of communication from the company, but apparently me emphasizing this again and again just didn't get through to you. sorry. i'll try to use smaller words next time so you don't get confused.

okay, so for everyone who read this thread and thought I was being unreasonable or that I was whining like a little bitch (like you, neckbonekat), read what the BBB in southern California has to say about these cocksuckers:

I just recently ordered some mac exhaust parts that i thought were a great buy compared to some other online stores. It took almost 3 weeks for the parts to show up on my door. Apparently they had to wait for the parts to be shipped to them and then they shipped it to me. I'll never order from them again.

Now Just two days ago i ordered 4 rims and 4 tires, balanced and everything. They show up on my doorstep on the 2nd day.

apparently it's either hit or miss with these guys. but i personally will never do business with these ass clowns again, and all i try to do here is warn people by telling them what happened to me. some people get all butt hurt about it like i'm attacking them personally. but some people listen and tread carefully. sorry about your experience, man.
