Yea... they suck

I wish I had read this thread before I ordered from them.

I ordered a set of BBK Headers and a Pypes Cat back set and it has been a NIGHTMARE trying to get this stuff from them. They lied to me every time I was lucky enough to get them on the phone about where it was, what was going on ,and when I would get it. It has been over a month, at least 50 emails that they have never answered, at least 25 phone calls that they rarely pickup, a full voice mail box where I couldn't leave any messages on this and I still have no parts and they won't answer the dang phone. I called Pypes to find out what they thought of RPM Outlet and the lady on the phone gave me an ear full. THEY HATE THEM TOO! Seems that RPM blames their mfrs when they screw up an order - so the mfrs get all these angry customers calling them and yelling about parts that they have already shipped to RPM.

If I don't have my parts by the time I get my credit card statement, I am going to dispute it and RPM can just shove it. STAY AWAY FROM THESE JERKS!

They are lying thieving scum that won't give you a straight answer and won't provide you with any service if you have any problems.
Also consider that their so called help desk is only available between 9:30 and 4 ish - and they appear to like to take long lunches too. So, if you have a problem don't expect to get in touch with anyone for at least a week or two - they are not there, they won't answer messages or emails, and they won't call you back.

Just an update. I was surprised to see that my Pypes were delivered today... then I got home. The box is torn up and it looks like the contents are half missing. I tried contacting RPM and, as usual, they are not answering the phone and won't return my email. The box looks like it has been run over with a truck. The pypes are bent to shit and it looks like some stuff is missing. I called UPS and they said they won't pay a claim unless the sender authorizes it. Oh joy. Now I have a bag of junk with no instructions, no hardware and am about $500 in the red. RPM Outlet SUCKS! (Just in case you have any doubts about how I really feel about them). Sorry to rant but this is just beyond belief.

I am terrible unhappy with rpmoutlet. I bought a three gauge pillar for my powerstroke diesel. There delivery was excellent. However, I didnt receive a receipt via email and when my credit card bill came, I was charge twice. I attempted to call rpmoutlet but they only would work via email. They never replied to my emails. I tried to fight it through my credit card company and they said they needed a receipt which was never sent me. Essentially, I had to pay twice for the product. I despise both rpmoutlet and capital one credit card company!

Holly shit! Ibought my Bassani X pipe from them and had no issues. It was here in four days. I guess maybe because it all came in one box. This is some crazy shit to read. I guess I'll stop suggesting them to people. AmericanMuscle.com FTW!

I wish I had joined this forum before ordering from RPM Outlet. I ordered a polished Professional Products 75mm TB/Plenum for $239.99. They sent me the PP TB/C&L Plenum $199.99 and charged me full price. On the back of their invoice they say all sales are final after 15 days. The parts took three days to get to me.

Getting through to them by phone is a chore. George said he would send a return authorization, none came. Called the next day, George couldn't tell me when the Professional Products kit would be in saying, "We'll ship it when we get it." I told him I just wanted my money back. He said I would get a return authorization, none came. On the back of the invoice it says you must request a return authorization on their web site.

Day 6, I request a return authorization on the web site and get it. It is very restrictive. It says if you use it you only get a credit, they will not refund your money. I called the credit card company and protested the sale. They told me to use the return authorization. I did. RPM Outlet refused delivery because the paperwork was not on the outside of the return carton. They don't open cartons.

Day 10, I repackage the return with the paperwork on the outside of the carton. Three days for UPS to deliver it. Day 13 they accepted the return.

It's not over yet. They told the credit card company that they had a no refund policy. The credit card company ruled in their favor. I called the credit card company and told them that "bait and switch" is illegal and that they had never shipped me the correct parts. The woman kept asking me if what they shipped was functional. I had to use this analogy before she understood. If you order a silk dress and they send you a cotton dress and charged you silk dress price, is it functional? She understood, the protest is back in effect. But its not over yet.

I actually ordered out of a magazine ad. After I went to their web site I discovered that they openly tell you they will substitute parts without prior notification. And, all sales are final after 15 days.

My first experience with RPM Outlet was so-so. The C&L CAI and Predator shipped together, but the Granatelli coils were b/o'd. They came in about a week later. Since I am an aircraft mechanic, I do all of my own work, so I didn't lose an appointment with anyone. My second experience was far worse. I ordered a Pypes T304 offroad X pipe (all of my other exhaust parts are T304) but they sent me the cheaper T409 pipe instead, which will eventually rust. I called them up to get it exchanged. The sales desk tells me to call this number. After a full morning trying to get through, I finally get someone who then tells me that they can't help me, I'll have to go online. OK, why didn't you tell me this first? No good answer. I go online, they finally answer me there with the fact that they are out of stock on the T304 and don't know when they will have it, and ask what I want to do. Naturally, I want a refund, and will buy it when they have it in stock. This is when the stonewalling began. Instead of working with me on THEIR mistake, they can only e-mail me copies of their exchange only policy.
Back and forth, finally get bent by the total lack of customer service. Dispute the charges with my credit card company, and call Pypes myself. The GM at Pypes is a stand-up guy, Cleans up his development car set of T304 pipes, throws in a set of T304 mid-pipes for my trouble, and ships the whole thing free of charge. I won't urinate (sic) down an RPM Outlet managers throat if his guts are on fire! Anybody want to buy a T409 X pipe for an S197 cheap?

RPM OUTLET will probably go out of business as word of mouth about this terrible customer service they have will get around. My experience with them reflects that posted here. They are the worst company I ever bought from.My controversy with them has been going on since sept 2007.and no end in sight.Stay away from this "BAD" Company.leyte

All i really hear is hell stories about these guys, but i have not had a bad experience with them at all. I have ordered from them on two seperate occassions and everything went smoothly. but that was 3 years ago or thereabouts. looks like things have changed.
