no complaints on them from me, i purchased from them off the web before, and was attracted by the low prices and free shipping.

Good prices; solid delivery model; solid sales folks... but don't dare get in a scenario that you have to send something back... Terrible model there.... they only deal via email.... a week behind... and totally don't have thier act together which has proven to be a poor customer experience...

I think I would pay a bit more for better post sales service offerings....

Straight from the horse's mouth....

Thought I would share the email experience.. again - great sales interactions, strong deliveries.. but hope you never have a problem on the back end.... and even more interesting on the fact that they were initially willing to give me $100. credit for a BBK TB / Spacer... which would normally retail @ $339.90 if ordered outside of a bundle....

Mr. xxxx,

I spoke to the supervisor and you are correct about the $230.05 but he said there will a 20% restocking because it could not be resold as new any more.Thank you for your time.

Daniel,

Per your website, the MotoBlue Pulley system alone is $168.95, sold separately, and I will equate this to “full value”. Therefore, wouldn’t the math be a $230.05, as the kit value was $399?

Mr. xxxxx,

If you decide to send the parts back you will get one hundred dollars in-store credit because it was sold in a kit when you send the parts back from the kit we have to charge fuel value for the remaining parts.

Thanks Daniel. The email you just responded has the attached invoice, which has all the necessary information, including the phone number.

I have not called the sales desk, but it is unfortunate RPM is not staffed to handle customer concerns. I am but one of the thousands, but have been working within your process.

I want to return the throttle body and spacer, for either a refund or credit for other products that function as advertized.

To Whom It May Concern:

This is my third request. I had a certified mechanic work with this throttle body today –and had the same issues. I do want to return this throttle body to RPMOUTLET, and provide BBK with the feedback that it has issues for my 07 mustang.

Please respond so that I can know what my next course of action is… This is becoming a poor customer experience.

Thanks in advance.

RPM Customer Service –

I received the below parts as a Christmas gift – and have had them installed on my car. However, I am having difficulty with the BBK TB and Spacer (surge in the idle, surges while driving.) With the stock TB – I do not have any issues. The MotoBlue pulley’s were easy to install and work great.

Is it possible that I can send the BBK Throttle Body and Motorvator Spacer back to you in exchange for other goods?

I have always suggested rpmoutlet to everyone. I will not do that shit again. Three weeks ago, I ordered a cai kit, plenum, TB, and Mass air housing from them. I got a confirmation e-mail that my parts were being shipped, and I waited over a week to get my parts. After 8 business days, I called and had trouble geting anyone on the phone. When I finally got someone, he said I would have to communicate with them through e-mails since the oder had already been placed. I called back 5 min.s later and luckily got someone who would help. I was informed that there was a problem with my billing address on my order is why my order didn't get shipped. I asked why they did not send an e-mail or call me to let me know. There was no answer for his question. However, I have had good luck with rpm in the past, so I decided to reorder. I was told that all my parts would be at my house by Tues. 03-07-07. My wife called Tues afternoon and said that the parts had arrived, so I called Joe at Dynospeed and set up an appointment for Monday morning to have other parts installed and get dyno tuned. I get home and find out that my cai was not in the rpm package, and it would be shipped to me in 7 days. They naver mentioned anything being out of stock when I ordered. Again, I called rpm and was told that I would communicate with them through e-mails only. I called back several times with no luck this time. I sent them an e-mail, asking when the cai would be here and I got a message back saying I would be conacted in 2-3 business days (unacceptable IMO). I then called americanmuscle and had a JLT cai 2-dayed to me. Rpm's customer service is ridiculous. The sad thing is, I have ordered alot of suff from them over the past year and have constantly recommended their products to people on this site. I don't care if they can save me $5 on a $400 part, I will not do business with them again. I can only imagine having to get technical support from these clowns.
I'm sure that every company gets complaints like this from time to time, but RPM has had three chances to get this one order under control, and have failed on every count.

To be fair I had a pproblem some time ago with them and dogged them in the 96/04 blog. Since than I have done business with them several more times, and have been refreshing'ly surprized. But I will now keep a closer watch, I think they have jsut gotten too big too fast. I hope the can re-gain their past performance level. And they need to remember, there is always somebody eles willing to sell you the same product. The customer is always right, or he's gone!

The saga continues...............

Dear rpmoutlet,
In regards to account # 6624175494:
I have contacted you several times in regards to an order to that I placed several weeks ago. The full amount for the payment has been deducted from my account and received by your company. I ordered an Accufab plenum, Accufab 75mm throttle body, and a BBK cold air kit for a 2003 Mustang GT. Both of the Accufab products arrived days after I made the order. However, the BBK cai was obviously on backorder. I have yet to recieve any response from rpmoutlet on the status of the CAI. Please understand that I am giving you all the information that has been provided to me by your company relating to this order. I need a response about this transaction.
I will give you adequate time to respond (48hr.s). At the end of that time, I will contact the BBB and my Bank to inform them of the fraud that is occuring. I don't even care if you send the part or not, as I have already had another company send me a cai. However, I want the part or my money back ASAP.
I have been patient long enough. As I have made clear in the past, it will only take you a minute to call me and let me know what is going on. 662-312-3280
I have received an e-mail from you have no record of this transaction. I can't understand why you sent parts to my house if there was no order and no payment.
You have sent an invoice that was cancelled. This is NOT the invoice I am referring to. I had made an order online that , for some reason, never went through. I called the rpm order line and ordered the parts. At that time, the first order was cancelled (please see attachment). Again, these are two seperate orders- I am sure that the second order went through, because I have received part of the order and I have been charged for the full amount. Please stop trying to scam me.

The following was copied DIRECTLY from my online bank statement.

Hi,
On 3-2-07, I ordered a BBK cold air intake kit. I was not told that the system would be on backorder during the call to order. I need to have an aftermarket intake pipe shipped to my home by Friday, even if it is not the BBK. What do I need to do to insure that my parts arrive on time? Should I get a refund and order from someone else or can RPMoutlet deliver parts by Friday? I have already arranged for a dyno session Monday morning, and it cannot be changed.

Thanks,

I already ordered a JLT and have it installed. I had so many problems with rpmoutlet, I got americanmuscle to two day me a JLT.
RPM won't refund my money- they won't even acknowledge that I made an order with them.

No, the plenum combo never got ordered, because they had a problem with their computer system. When I got them on the phone, I ordered Accufab TB and plenum, and a BBK CAI. The BBK CAI is what I'm waiting on.

I finally got my BBK cai from rpm outlet. It only took 5 weeks, 32 e-mails, and about 20 phone calls to get it here. I have it for sale in the classified section. There is no way I am going to try to get a refund from rpmoutlet at this point. These people have been total assholes throughout this whole process. My money will go elsewhere from now on.

Rpmoutlet...... I recently just got out of high school and bought my very first car, which is a 2003 V6 Mustang. i know, V6. haha. but yea. i decided to order a high flow cold air intake, throttle body, and throttle body spacer, one big package. i placed my order. and 3 days later i recieved a REGULAR intake kit, no throttle body or anything. just a filter and a tube. i called and finally started talking to someone. i guess stuff got taken out of it when it was being shipped by ups. so UPS came and picked it up, and two days later they sent me all the parts, but the throttle body spacer is wrong. it doesnt have that air flow option on the top of it(not to sure what that sensor is called). And also i ordered the bbk CAI and i recieved the K&N intake kit, which i actually like better, just thought it was funny they still sent me the wrong stuff. i talked to someone 2 weeks ago and she said she would call me back in a couple hours. i have called every day and left messages for the last 2 weeks. and im starting to think im gonna get screwed. i am not happy one bit with there service. dont think i will order from there again.

if anyone could help what are some good websites that i can order parts from.
