pissed at bama chips

I just waited 2 weeks for my jlt cai an xcal 3 and when it finally gets here its broken. WTF?

the screen on my tuner is broken and doesn't show anything. I need dougs number... anybody have it. This is bullshit.

well take it easy, I know your pissed, but you can blame doug. it could of been a number of things. it could have broke in transit its a possibility, but doug will get you squared away, he's good at that. just take a chill, and you'll be happy when he overnights you another x3

when i bougght an x2 from him a while back, it wouldnt turn on when I plugged it into my car, called doug. overnighted me a new one with the preloaded tunes, and asked me to send the other one back. great customer service

thats good to here. i respect what you and others have said about doug and trust him. I called him and left him a message(calmly and didn't blame... just said that it was broken) i need to wait to install my cai don't I? or is there a way i could blindly install my tune? thanks for the fast responses

That sucks to hear, Juco.

But I promise you Doug will take care of you. I had a small pinging issue with one of his tunes, and he not only fixed that tune, he sent me another one for free, even though I told him that wasn't necessary. He will take care of you, I have no doubt.

And no, don't put your CAI on. Wait until you get your tunes. Do NOT try and put a tune in blindly. There are prompts you have to follow, like when to cycle the ignition on and off, so it's not worth the chance.

I would wait to install the cai. The Xcal 3 maybe different than the 2, I would hate to give you the wrong buttons to press.

well i talked to doug this morning and he insn't overnighting me another one... guess i'm not as special as his other customers. He is sending me another one though, but i have to send the other one back first. So from the time i made the order, it's gonna take about a month to get my stuff. This is a great company

That sucks Juco. Kinda goes against everything I've heard & seen him do when there is a problem. Hopefully it lands there asap.

Hey guys correct me if I'm wrong but, Juco you could install your CAI and not upload a tune because as far as I know, intakes do not require tunes, though the tune will increase the hp by a good bit. So if you're just bored and tired of looking at a brand new intake I believe you can install it

the jlt cai has to be tuned. i've been told that the car will stall on me and go into a fail safe mode without a tune. some need tunes and some don't.
