Super Deal on Super CAI for S197 cars![]() The Granatelli CAI has long been recognized as the only high flowing intake system for the S197 cars that does not require a custom dyno tune. Thanks in part to our exclusive relationship with Hitachi ( the OE manufacture of the factory MAF electronics) we are able to supply you with a "complete" kit that includes the properly scaled slot in MAF. This product looks factory and operates with Factory manners - that is until to step on it . Dyno test upon dyno test has confirmed this product is a winner. It also comes in polished finish![]() For those that insist on squeezing every last drop of HP from their car, you can purchase these kits with no calibrated slot in meter and go to your local dyno tuners. They can insert you factory MAF and write you a tune. Either way expect 15 to 20 hp - Here is a video of the install - Although a bit long it is not edited becuase we did not anyone to think we tried anything funny GMS TV : GMS Test: S197 Mustang Cold Air Intake It also has 2 places to add Nitrous nozzles Satin Finish with MAF - Satin Finish no MAF - Polished with MAF - Polished no MAF - Last edited by Granatelli : November 30th, 2007 at 10:48 AM. |

Sorry - I guess what is not shown very clearly inthe video is that when we installed the polished intake tube it already comes from GMS with the calibrated Mass Airflow Sensor installed - all meters in Ford cars and truck after 2004 have meters that are called "slot in" designs. The MAF from 88 to 04 cars were called EBT - which means "extruded body type"

Grana- If your intake has a recalibrated mass air then his tune for an intake wont run right because the intake will be compensated for twice...(once with the tune and once with your recalibrated mass air ). Also how much is this intake?

![]() with any good aftermarket CAI we see about 5 to 7 over what the intake made alone in whipple, Saleen and roush cars - like 17hp becuase it let the blower suck in freer
