Do Not Buy From Steeda


I purchased over 800 dollars from them a while back, and their salesman sent me the wrong parts. I have a 91 Gt that I orderd a complete clutch kit for. He sends me a flywheel for a 4.6l, and a clutch cable for the same application. Every thing else will work fine. The custome service Guy was an asshole!!! I tried to explain what happend and he said nope sorry over 30 days. I said that's not very good customer service, all I want is the right parts to make them work in my car. He said to bad over 30 days.. I said I will never do business with your company again.... In my opinion STEEDA CAN EAT A BIG FAT DICK!!!!!!

so you waited 30 days to find out you got the wrong parts? or they are saying its been 30 days since you ordered them and they are not refunding?

Not to sound like a dick but you should of checked them when you got them if its been 30 days since then. Although I understand if one or 2 of the parts you have looked over were wrong, that happened with a wheel i ordered. Steedas a good company, but one of their locations is about 30 away from me, maybe they take better care of the locals, who knows.

The best thing to do is try to sell what you have, you may loose $100 or so on the resale but its better then taking the hit for everything. good luck.

I did look the parts over, just missed that two of the parts were for a 4.6L mustang. I work in sales for a multi million dollar local company, and we never treat a customer like crap period.

yea but having it a month and then deciding that it needs to be something different doesnt make them really wanna help thats why companies have 30 day things on their stuff.

I understand all that, they sent me the wrong parts. So it's my problem to eat it when they sent it wrong??? Makes no sense to me, even if it's over 30 days you still should get your customer the right parts. I'm was not looking for a refund, I was looking for the correct parts and I don't think that is to much to ask.

Maybe if you talk with someone else at Steeda & explain the parts are in as shipped condition & that you just want to exchange them for the parts you ordered. If you keep your cool & talk nice, you will likely have good results

+1, ask for the manager of customer service. I can see your point, THEY shipped the wrong parts, these are not what you ordered to begin with. I know it's 30 days...but because it IS their error to begin with maybe they can/should correct it.

To be honest companies do the 30 day return policy since accountants close out inventory reports around that time. It's hard for an accountant to run back and amend the running total if that inventory account has been closed. It's more of a formality if anything.

Also a good reason to look at smaller businesses.

Its more in my best interest to make you happy then to worry about "return policy"

If the stuff was in new condition i would exchange it for you.

Some people like to go directly to the big companies, but its a double edge sword.

Your post or threat of never doing business with them again doesnt really worry them or hurt them. First of all its probably not a person working on commision or anything else. secondly, Steeda is a giant. it would take a lot to put a chink in that armor.

I agree you should ask to talk to someone in charge

A MM vendor and or small business would be more worried about makeing you happy. You could probably talk right to the owner of the business.


Next time try out a vendor on this site.

Thanks for all the replys!!! I know Steeda is a big company, and I don't have time to waste trying to get someone to make things right from there... I have put the flywheel up for sale, and every one I talk to I tell them about steeda. You know how it goes negative feedback travels like wild fire... I bought this stuff before I was on this forum, and everyone I talked to was in love with steeda. I should have gone to Summit Racing and bought the Centerforce DF set up, I have never had a problem returning or exchanging anything with them no matter if it was bought a year prior...
