Clemson Autocross

Wohoo this is fun

So I went to my second autocross this weekend with the Clemson Sports Car Club. Track was a bit more technical than my first one, which sucks for my big ol' Mustang, but it was still a blast. My performance was good, I'd say, especially compared to some of the other large-v8-rwd type cars with drivers more experienced than I.

Anyways, I'll spare you my in-depth analysis and get straight to the interesting part.

[Note: Read description - yes, I was driving with one hand on that one run... No, it's probably not a good idea]

I'm number 20 in D Class. You can see I out-drove such cars as a BMW z4, 96 trans am, 03 evo, an 06 corvette and an overpowered 350z.

Also, my mom and sister were out this weekend to visit. They brought their rental car (POS Hyundai Elantra), and I convinced my mom to let me run it around the track a couple times. Pulled an 80.9 (which you can compare to the results). Notice I beat my friend Steve in his 08 Mustang Bullit, a fact he will never hear the end of.

Cliffnotes:

* Autocrossing is awesome, and I am very happy with my performance

Yea that looks like a lot of fun... but the course does look confusing. I want to get into autocross once I get rid of my mountaineer and pick up a stang.

Gah! There was autocross at Clemson this past weekend. Fuck I hate not being in the loop. I know a few people who go to Clemson too.
