China Camp Twisties

Decided to take a little run out the back way for little relaxation Due to extreme volume of The Mighty Zep I and How Many More Times the mic of camera was completely pegged and sounded like crappola. I thought I would update with a nice little Page/Plant version from Spodek Hall, Katowice 2-26-98... enjoy

Jazzer,
I must admit, it looks like fun being able to actually take a turn. Where is your camera mounted and do you not have a rear view mirror?

Thanks

I have the camera mounted right next to the rear-view mirror on the passenger side:

Although it isn't installed in above pictures, I have a small rubber bushing that I wedge up between the camera and the windshield to help limit the vibration that you see on camera. Three issues happening on the above video that contributed to the vibration. The first/second are a rough road and camera location. Seems that having the mounting point soo high up there is more movement of the car at that point due to center of gravity being much lower. I am sure that most of the vibration was due to the Zep I was crankin' at the time of the drive

Someday I would like to get a second camera and pointed at the dash and blend the RPM's/speed with road views on a single image. This would be a nice learning tool for me as to see the limitations of both car/driver (far and away, driver at this point!) Hard to tell, but was in 3rd gear that whole run and moving at a real good clip. Looking at the vid myself, I just don't get the sense of speed I had while actually driving.

Anyway, thanks for indulging my ego and checking out my vid

that's a nice little setup. I need to invest in something like that instead of my ghetto setup. Fortunately I don't get much vibration on launch, so either my ghetto setup works or I'm not launching hard enough

Is there some type of arm that extends down the side of the seat held on by the bungie cords?

That would probably be fine, as long as it doesn't snap back too badly on launch.

it's actually a tripod. It holds up well on launch.
