up here we call that "junk yard racers" ... you know, where you go to a junk yard, get a 6-8cyl POS car with a usable engine, hook up waaaay too much boost, then take it for maybe 3 good runs at a strip running 10's and make some quick money, then do it all over again. I've seen this at every track event I've ever gone to and I think it'd be hella fun - kinda like being a pool shark, lol.
