Adirondack Nationals Cruisin'

The Adirondack Nationals Car Show is the "Weekend After Labor Day Every Year".
This years dates were September 11th - 13th, 2009. One of the things that makes the Adirondack Nationals unique is that you not only see the cars displayed on the show grounds, but you also get to see them out cruisin'! On both Friday and Saturday evening, registered show participants take their cars to the street. Portions of Canada Street and Beach Road are converted into a moving showcase of Hot Rods, Customs, Trucks, Classics, and Muscle Cars. It is truly a sight to behold. The cruise starts at 7pm each night and runs till 10pm. I apologize for the video quality, but it was filmed on a regular hand held camera at night. Next time I'll bring my video camera. Funny thing is with a half hour video total I only got about half the cars up there on film. LOL Enjoy!

Yeah it was definitely a lot of fun. With the half hour of video I shot I got about 1/3 of the cars.

I've been good. I'm a father now so my time is never really my own anymore. As a matter of fact neither is my money. lol

Thanks Zip. I enjoy it even more than I thought I would.

The Adirondack Nationals are crazy! I love the fact that it's not just going to see parked cars in a lot. They close down the main strip in Lake George and only the classics can run from 7-10 pm. It's great to watch! I took my father in-law for the first time and he loved it. Schedule it in for next year as a family trip. There's plenty to do that's not just cars. It always the weekend after Labor day every year. Friday and saturday plus some of Sunday. Book a room now though because those hotels sell out 8-9 months in advance for that weekend.

PS - This site sucks on my cell phone. So tiny! lol

Yessir. Kids are the best part of life, period. And you can't make people understand that until you have them yourself sometimes.

Dang. That sounds like an event that's possible for me to attend. Not all that far from here really.

No, it should only be a couple hours ride for you from Canada. Going past Lake George it's just a straight shot up for me to get to Canada and it's literally right off the high way exit 21 or 22 from that direction.

It's hard to explain the atmosphere to someone who hasn't been there. Where else do muscle cars and classics get to take over the roads for an entire weekend? From one end of the strip to the other is all muscle cars.

98% of the people there are avid muscle car people from all over the country. The other year we met a couple from Italy where this was their third time flying over for it. We all sat next to a friendly old couple that order pizza and offered us all some for free. That guy knew every car that went buy. LOL

It's that time a year again. Anyone thinking of going to the Adirondack Nationals this year? This year it's Sept. 10-12. Largest muscle car show in NYS.
