Nice man...I had an AWD laser ummmm...two cars ago now.
The thing was a monster. These cars in turbo form are far from rice in any way unless the driver mods it to be so.

IMO true car guys respect the platform a vehicle has to offer not just the brand, or maybe thats just me.

Nice car you've got there bro. I was in the market for a 2g AWD Eclipse or Talon before I found my Stang. Always had a hard-on for Mustangs so I got it instead. The AWDs are a bitch to find for a decent price.

+1. And the ones that are in good shape and not riced are ridiculously priced. I've seen people wanting $6k+ for a clean 2g Eclipse with 150k+ miles on it. I'd rather drop that kind of money on a down payment for a 2011 Mustang or an 08-10 Challenger (wasn't a fan when they came out, but they grew on me ).

Thanks for the kind words. Why a second gen? First gens are better looking (my opinion) and they are faster and hold up better (fact).

Thanks bro.. Some people are just hardcore mustang fans and some are disappointed in me because I am one of the more knowledgable builders of the 2V but quit before I really got started because I could not afford to go on and support myself and my family. This happens to alot of builders like ACmillr when we realize that throwing on FI is just to easy.. Turbo/supercharger is just to easy to make power against N/A. Preferably turbo because superchargers blow.

4500 for full boost seems like it's kinda high for a 16g. I had a big 16g on my 2G GST and it was at full boost at 3000. I believe it was hitting full boost a lot higher, but I had a problem. God it was so long ago I don't remember what it was. But I seem to remember fixing something and then it would reach full boost a lot sooner. A big 16g turbo really isn't all that big... As far as turbos for those cars go. But it's definately a very good upgrade and a good all-around turbo I think.

I am learning more about these cars and realize now that it should have hit full boost at 3 but the bearing was going bad and is now in pieces in my garage.. I ordered a 20G 4 hours ago. Still 20G is not a big turbo but is medium sized. It is worth 30psi and that is more then I need. Parts for these cars are hella cheap. I picked up new 16g and 20g turbos together on ebay for $350.00.. The bearing went out in my 16g this past weekend. Everytime something goes out I replace it with something better. Now, if I could just get that damn intake mani to go out so I can get a SMIM I would be set with all the best aftermarket supporting mods..
