Whats a good/affordable video camera?

Some friends and I are going to make a car video this summer and our digital camera just dont cut it.

So input please!!

Also whats a good video editing software?!

i got the sony webbie HD 160 bucks to shoot 1080p check out these crappy vids i made with it. Some good quality for the price
