yeah man, if you ever decide to build one, check out www.factoryfive.com

its one of the only cobra replica companies that allow you to use a mustang donor car, which means you can literally build one for $16K-$18K (but of course that would be with everything directly from the mustang, stock 302 and all the bare essentials)

they even accept modular motors so if you could find a nice terminator engine to drop in, go for it!

depending on how expensive your donor car is (i'd personally go for a 87-93 and drop in a 351 windsor), i really doubt you would ever hit the $30,000 mark
Or you could go for the best of both worlds, and build their GTM kit. It uses a C5 corvette as the donor to build a mid-engine supercar. Their demo model uses an LS7 instead of the LS1. Basically an S7 for $60K.

thats true, but alot of people, including me, find the GTM kit to be way too expensive. other than the price of the corvette donor car and the extremely hard to find porsche G50 transaxle, that car would be an amazing car

damn you really hate chevy's dont you?! i admire that chevrolet can make a car that competes with the worlds supercars at a fraction of the price. how much does a ford GT cost?? i love ford GT's dont get me wrong, but the Zo6 is a masterpiece, and i would choose it over a GT. who cares about the price? i could make my car way faster than a zo6 too for a fraction of the cost. fuck i could make a CIVIC faster than a zo6 for less than 80,000. so what? does that make the zo6 suck? i didnt think so. i read that the Zo6 can run high to mid 11's with street tires and dip into the 10's with slicks, and they have faster lap times than a viper, and ford GT, now thats impressive for a stock vehicle.

and hating the Zo6 just because its a chevy? now my friend, thats ignorance.
off topic but I thought you were long gone, buddy. Haven't seen ya on MM for awhile, or to my reccollection at least.

on topic... doesn't your dad have a corvette? I seem to recall that but am not too certain.

For a performance or exotic sportscar, I guess you could say the Z06 is "cheap." lol. Not within my budget, so I'll be sticking to my affordable muscle car, and when I can run 11's hopefully next year I'll have a vette beater for under 25K. (siding with Wavebye now, heh heh).
