my opinion if it was stock for stock it would be really close......because i was reading in car and driver that the only car that could take a gt is a enzo...but that was in mid to late 05 or early 06...but i could be wrong.....there both fast cars none the less

hahah WRONG! i drove that car to work everyday 32 miles round trip, hung corners on off-ramps at 80+ AND drove it to the track on slicks,20 miles round trip,ran 11.70s and drove it home.

the Z06 is an overpriced piece of shit and any sports car can be upgraded and beat it for half the price.

that 80,000 price tag gives you a hell of a lot more car than ur modded mustang. there is NO possible way that ur car is going to handle as good as that corvette with its independant rear and all the electronic stablity control, its not going to stop as well, it has incredable breaks, the thing doesnt weigh that much at all with all EXPENSIVE carbon fiber, to get your 11.70, ur probably supercharging and spraying the hell out of the whatever engine you have where as the corvette comes with a reliable, from the factory 505hp 7000 redline 427 that has SOOO much room for turboing and spraying for lots more power.
im just saying its an extremely well designed car that is a great performer FROM THE FACTORY. and yea for the exact performance, it is expensive but you are also paying for the design. its a beautiful car that can go 170ish. i dont believe your mustang can do that without just throwing gobs of hp at it. the mustang wasnt designed for that, and the corvette was.

ever heard of a shelby daytona coupe? its a car i am contemplating on building (either that or a shelby cobra)

you can build one for under 30,000 total, including paint and everything and it makes the z06 cry with embarrassment.. 0-60 in 3.6, 1/4 mile in 11.9, top speed of 207MPH

that means it is equal to the ferrari F-50 in 0-60 and it beats it (and also beats the McLaren F1 LM) in the 1/4 mile..

if you ask me, it doesnt get any better than this. pure classic 1965 american muscle that can still stomp today's million dollar super cars
