woulda coulda shoulda. man ya gotta realise that stock mustangs are not fast at all. they are actually pretty damn slow

Yea, Mustangs stock are slow, but our engines love to modded out. Also isn't the srt-4 with a good driver a 13 sec car stock?

Yes, the SRTs are quicker out of the box than a 99-04 GT.

well, i meant that the srt is for dodge like svt is for ford.

if you compare a stock neon to a stock gt.. well, i dont know, i havent looked.

im pretty sure the srt-4 runs high 13's i believe...lik 13.9 about

especially the old srt-4's! (older ones are slower too) but i dont think that is the major appeal of an srt-4, one of the ultimate bolt on cars(not in long term durability though lol)

one thing that is bugging me about all the srt-8's is the fact that dodge offers no manual tranny for any of them(doesnt mean theyre not bad ass though!)

It's not a wooping when they both run 14's. A gt is capable of 13.5 end of story. Bad driver thats all.

A 05/06 GT will beat a Stock SRT-4
A 99-04 GT will be a drivers race with a stock SRT-4

You may not like them but you have to respect them...My best friend Ben is a Ford Senior Master Tech and he drives a SRT-4 just becuase he likes them...He has currently drove the car into the 12's and still drives it everyday no worries...I cant knock the cars...They are quick out of the box and the new SRT-4 (Calber) is going to be even more powerful...300/300 I think are the numbers that they are calling for...The Calber R/T has the option of AWD so I figure it wont be long before someone puts the AWD into the SRT-4 (they are still not out yet)...But I have to say the cars grow on ya a bit...

Now given all of that I still would not give up my mustang for one...But if its your kind of deal more power to ya...

What do you mean older SRT-4? Are you talking about the upgraded injectors that are in the 04+ ones? They are really are not much faster at all...The 04+ have bigger injectors but the computer does not utilize the extra injector power...When someone puts a stage 1 SRT-4 on there car they get a new PCM and if they have a 2003 they also get new injectors...There really is no difference...Also if someone puts the Stage 3 on their car the car puts down 308fwhp and 318 fwtq...Anyway you cut it that is fast...

Not saying they are the best car ever...I am jsut saying you have to respect them fro what they are...They are a Turbo-Dodge that if you dont watch it will give your car a run for the money...

But I still love my mustang and would never trade it for any econo-box...

I respect them.. although I have yet to go up against one. The biggest chops I have to give out is to the GTO's... those things are beasts! If I had the money I would probably buy a brand new one, either that or a Dodge Charger SRT8.
