Well there are no moving parts on the Metal Storm gun. I dont know if it has actually fired 1 million.

the CIWS fires 20mm rounds at 4500 rounds a minute and its main function is for anti-ship missile defense

The second video, the metal storm is a prototype to replace the missile interception weapons on ships. It basically has an unlimited fire rate capacity because the rounds are stacked in the barrel and fired with an electronic pulse to detonate the percussion caps. So it can fire as fast as you can set the system to pulse, as long as you have rounds in the barrels.
