second the gtr's awd eats alot of power...

Yea I'm not surprised. The new GTR's are around 400hp i believe but are AWD and HEAVY from what I hear. Really slows the thing down in straight line.

im prety sure there more powerfull then that

from what ive read/heard their stock 11 second cars and they come TT with forged internals so a little more boost could probably get them in the 10s

and they have that launch control shit

The GTR driver doesnt know how to use the launch control correctly = fail.

No way the Z06 is taking the new GTR out of the hole for 95% of drivers on the street. Listen to the vid again. The dig races, the GTR guy is not near the 4,800 rev limiter for the launch control. That GTR will eventually end up dping launches at 8K rpm's.

Modded Skylines are just sick. A few years ago, some guy came down by our strip where a couple of hundred high hp cars cruise every weekend. He was driving an R33 Skyline running close to 600 at the wheels. From a light off the line, he laughed at anything that showed up..............launched like a fcukking sliingshot. Never saw anything like it in my life.......at least on the street.

Im sure that stock fo stock, once the Z06 gets to triple digits its goodbye time, but somethings not right about that video to me.

Well you SHOULD be surprized because the new GTR's have better 0-60's and almost the same 1/4 ETA, and it beat the Z06 on the track by 5 seconds!! Yes, that is 5 seconds.. the test was done by Road & Track magazine as attached to this reply.

There's no doubt that Skylines are one of the sickest hi-hp cars, you can easily get a (stock) Ferrari killer for quarter of the tag price and that includes mods, but it doesn't mean that they are invincible. Then again, someone said it must the driver: driving a GTR is like playing a Playstation, while driving the Vette is the game of pros.

p.s. 300 kph = 183 mph (1 mile = 1.64 km)

That car is made for road racing though correct. I dont like it, but I think it would spank the vett on a road course IMO.

Ok of corse the awd car is going to beat the rwd car on a road corse given the fact they are so close in hp and weight.There are rumors floating around of sevral people seeing around 440hp to all 4 wheels in the gt-r so the races you saw are as they should have been.Now as for the ones from a dig the guy in the gt-r probably didn't have enough seat time to know how to launch it.

0-60 yes but quarter mile times no way ive personally seen zo6's go high 10's at the track completely stock
