The only focus set ups ive heard of have been rwd. There is even a company that will hook up your focus with a special frame and a Ford v8 and tranny of your choice. I saw one on speed channel with the engine from the 03-04 cobra, omg.

I've seen these kits advertised! RWD conversion, choice of block, f/i or carb. they even had 4.6's on the list! pretty insane if this becomes a popular mod, which as much as I hope it does, I dont see it happening for at least another ten years. around here anyway.

What the hell is the point of that thing? It has to have some real problems hooking up. What are the widest tires you can fit on a focus? I would be so imbarrassed to have that thing run up on me.

The rear end is custom for the swap, I'm sure they considered this, and I'm sure you get can some pretty big sneakers back there.

a short stubby car: trouble hooking up? I dont know man.

I think its WAY better then a stock focus, so I like it

My wife's Hyundai is way better than a stock focus. That's not saying much. Watch the beginning again and watch him back out. Notice the tire size. I would hate to have to turn at a high speed in that thing. Looks like he's riding on doughnuts. LOL

Didn't say it's not possible, just said he didn't do it and the tires on a Focus can only be so wide and be street legal. In NYS the tire isn't supposed to be wider than your fenders.

As long as it doesn't come past the fender it's fine. I've seen people with fender flares to make it legal. There is a guy here with a Mustang II with fender flares because his back tires are ridiculous.
