yes they are nasty they can run at 150mph for a long time i forgot exactly but i remember it was ludacris!! they were helped built by lotus i believe

Yeah, it has an LT-5 OHC motor (compared to pushrod like all the other Vettes) that was inspired and helped to be built by Lotus.

Shortly after the ZR-1 ended GM actually considered doing all the V-8's as a OHC setup and killing any pushrod motors. The story goes that GM put a pushrod (the LS1) in one Vette and a OHC in another Vette and had a group of people test drive them to get their reactions. And all the people said the pushrod motor felt stronger (keep in mind that no one knew which motor they had) so they kept with the pushrod setup which eventually became the LS1. And, for now anyways, OHC motors will have to wait another day.
