New clutch set up in the Maverick

Over the winter we changed bell housings in the Maverick. The old bell housing just use a clutch fork to disengage the clutch. The new one, a Browell with inspection cover(which is why we switch) uses a rod with a fork to disengage the clutch. We've been playing around with the set up all summer to get the kinks worked out. These videos are from a few weeks ago. we ended up making different linkages to creat more adjustment. In the first two videos you can tell the clutch wasnt adjusted right and when the engine reved up the centri force of the clutch started to kick in and the car colled forward before the clutch was actually released. A few changes were mad and it was to engaging to hard. It left the line fine but in the 3rd and 4th video you can see it pull the front tires off the ground shifting from 1st to 2nd. Last weekend more adjustments were made and we went all the way to 5th round. next round wouldve been semi finals. The car broke out wiht a 8.22 on a 8.23 dial in. sorry, no vids from last weekend. Next year more kinks will be worked out and it should be in the high 7s all on a 400 ci cleveland N/A.
