I would like to know that myself since all the projector type aftermarket headlamps ive seen say not for HIDs but dont say why. Ive yet to see one person with projector headlights and HIDs so till i do i dunno and im not going to buy them to find out it wont work. If i had to guess i would think as long as you got the right bulb it would but i dunno.
As far as the color you were mentioning both me and my friend bought 10k lights. mine look blue and his definately look a purplish white. They are bright no doubt just not blue as you would of expected. i payed 250 for mine and his were $200 so i guess you get what ya pay for. heres what mine look like anyway... ![]() and heres one of use side by side in the rain. its all i got for comparison plus its from my phone, and it is a more noticeable difference in person. the camera didnt pick it up real well but if you look at the reflection off the asphalt in front of our cars its more noticeable. oh i'm on the left too

i believe the only reason the HID wouldnt work w/ the projector headlights would be that it has the wrong size bulb. i have projectors and it requires an H3 bulb so if they sell it in that same style and size then it should fit. if its the same style and not the same length, then the focal point wont be correct for the lense in the projector and it will look like crap.

i thought its because it will make it to bright or something or melt the lense..

As long as you get the H3 bulb which they sell it should work. they dont get hotter then standard halogens, and they also consume almost half as much power 35w compared to 55-65watt standard halogens.
I actually saw on Tricked Out on the Diy channel, the guy installed a hid kit on on a accord i think it was that had projectors and when it was done and you saw the beam on the road, it looked like ass. Boo. but it probably looked bad before since aftermarket low beam projectors generally suck anyway to start.

As far as 12000k if your trying to find the brightest thats not it. 8000k is the brightest color temperature. 12000k is also a violet color... so i dunno if thats what your after but this is what it looks like...
