These dang headlights


How do I keep them clear? The set i installed last year are messing up and i polished them once a month!

You really need to make sure you seal them correctly or else they're gonna give you a s%#t load of problems...

They are sealed but it looks like clear coat coming off of them

maybe your polishing them to hard and wearing them down ha

either that or you think there sealed right and they arent??

all good possibilities I supposse

Ok ask lookin at they arent sealed but my new ones (2004) messing up to and its ford and sealed. Ima replace it but wat do u guys do to keep yours clear? Im selling other one so idc bout them anymore.

are you talking about the black around the blinkers? i know its notorious for it to look liek its peeling or flaking off

wow i have never had that problem, i would say that maybe it was from extreme heat or something but i see that your in AL not like nevada

Do you have the correct bulbs for it? If you have high intesity bulbs the heat may be affecting your lights.

I have that problem with my stock lights. It looks like clear coat peeling.

wet sand them and then polish them out, and then put a good coat of sealer on top of that, then wax them every time you wax your car.

My headlights were doing the exact same thing as yours, looked like "clearcoat" was peeling off. They looked horrible!

Mine now look like glass. I used this kit on her, and i have also used it on many other cars as well and the results are always flawless. I just had to sand enough plastic off to get rid of all the "peeling" plastic.

Here is a good video about it, it is exactly how i do it except i add a coat of Wizards Shine Master as the last step.
