the only time ive been able to see the true output is when i shine the lights on those plants in front of the wall. the only time ive driven at night my windows were stuck fogged up. the defog didnt do anything during my 30 min drive at night. i couldnt really tell the output over long distances, but i know from taking these pics that they are really bright even with the covers at short distances. hopefully my windshield wont be too foggy tonight so i can tell exactly how far the light shines. im trying not to give any false information, but at the same time trying to help out the best i can with what ive experienced with them so far.

ha, I diddnt realize they were taped on. no, definately dont bother taking them off. Dont screw up your car.
I have fogs, but even with silverstars in them I cant really tell a diffeerance with them on or off. just a bit more light out to the sides maybe... I think tomorrow Im just gona bite the bullet and buy a set of Ultras. I have run normal silverstars for a few years, adn love them, and I cant see the ultras dissapointing me. A lot of my driving is a 98 mile comute on interstates that have NO lights on them... so Im kinda looking for BRIGHT light that goes a long ways. darn Deer are everywhere here in Northern Virgina... |

definitely a big differnce, but taking them off took mabye 15 seconds and putting them on took maybe 30 seconds, and thats because i used extreme caution taking them off, and was OCD when putting them on. now that i know exactly how to do it, i could easily take them off in under 10 secs, then put them on in 10-15 secs.

eventually i want to put fog lights with silverstars on my car, and leave the fog lights without any smoked covers. and i have a friend with silverstar fog lights in his stang and they are without a doubt brighter than my ultras with the covers on. so you should be fine. but if not, its extremely easy to take off the covers and put them back on.

all rite, well, i just drove on a back road with no lights, and my high beams were still a little too dim. the light goes for a long distance, but all the color is taken out from them, so you cant see much. if you still end up getting them could you post some pics with the covers on and the lights on as well as your fog lights so i can see if it will be enough light for me. thanks

and i just had to take them off to drive again, and its 2 pieces of adhesive tape that are held together by velcro so its easy to take off and put on.

sadly, after seeing your pics with covers and no covers, I think Im going to avoid covers. Not enough light for me. I dont want to have to hassle with taking them off and putting them back on when ever I want to drive.
