Mustang Headlight Covers With Silverstar Ultras

Got the headlight covers on and put the ultras in. Overall its brighter than the stock halogens without covers so I'm very pleased. What do you guys think?

and I'm still debating on whether or not I will leave the logo on or not.

and the more i look at it the more i hate the logos so they will be coming off soon. just got to wait for the rain to stop falling...

been debating getting these for a while (the covers that is). could you please post some output pics? I run the same bulbs, and love the light output from them, but I normally do a LOT of driving in the dark and if the covers dim it to much its not gonna work for me.

On a side note at the local parts store they guy reccomended the Hella bulbs. Said they were better than the Ultras. I just dont wanna get yellow lights again like the stock halogens. Any one play with the Hellas and have a comparasion to the ultras?

i havent even heard of Hellas but since i have some stuff i got to do tonight ill take some pics of the output. my guess would be ill have them up around 9-10 e.t.

im pretty sure the regular silverstars are available for all mustang headlights/fog lights. im not sure if the ultras are available for the fog lights though.

here's the output pics i promised. My front windshield was fogged up too bad and and the defog wasnt working so i got tired of wasting gas. i took the pics from outside the car, and to be honest, my camera did a horrible job in capturing the true output. they are really much brighter. the camera only seemed to capture the main stream of light.

Hey man, I hate to be an ass, but could you pop off one of your covers and take the pics against a wall or something? maybe back about 50 feet? that way I can see just how much the covers mute the light output.

well on AM.com it says the adhesive tape bonds quickly, so how easy is it to take them off? and will the tape still be sticky enough to hold them when i got to put them on again?

otherwise i have no problems helping you out, but i dont want to be the bad guy here but the best comparison i can give you between covers and no covers is the high beams with covers look like the low beams without covers. and ive read that they are not suitable for a lot of night driving. i drive a lot at night too, but its mainly a roads with street lights on both sides, so i can see anyway.

but do you have fog lights? im planning on getting them because i do want my visibility a little better (even though they are brighter than the stock halogens without covers). but if you run fog lights with them then you wont have any problems seeing.

but like i said, if taking them off wont mess up the adhesive tape, ill be more than happy to put some pics up...and like i said earlier my camera doesnt do a good job with showing the true output, they are brighter than my camera makes them appear to be.

and youre not being an ass...youre just doing your homework
